Trains, Planes, and Automobiles.....

Jett LOVES all types of transportation vehicles. Cars, boats, trains, motorcycles, and planes. Jett will often take my hand and lead me to the kitchen door that leads out into our garage and say "bike, bike, bike" until I open the door and let him look at daddy's motorcycles. He is absolutely obsessed with them. The other night around 2:30 a.m. he woke up asking for the bike, so we had to get up and go out into the garage for a minute so that he could get his bike fix before he would go back to bed. Monday night Bobby decided to see what Jett would do if he actually started the bike. Let me just say, Jett was not a huge fan of the bike when it was turned on. He did finally sit on it with Bobby for about 2 seconds (turned off, of course) so that I could take a quick picture. Here are my biker boys!

and, of course, a mommy and Jett picture

Later that evening Bobby decided he wanted to take Jett to a private airport in Jenks to watch the planes land. Bobby sweet talked one of the employees of the airport into letting is go back where all of the planes are, which is also directly beside the runway, so we were able to stand right next to where they were landing. It was really fun, but the best part was watching Jett get so excited about all of the planes surrounding him. He loved it!! Here are the pictures.

Check out how tall this picture makes me look. I wish!!

We noticed Monday night that his nose was runny, and sure enough, by Tuesday morning Jett and I were both plagued with a nasty cold. It seems like for the past 5 months we have been passing germs around our house like crazy. It makes no sense to me since Jett is never around other kids, and I am never around sick people. Oh well, maybe once he weather gets nicer (if it ever does) this season of sickness will pass.
Saturday Jett and I headed to Owasso to spend some time with my mom and grandma. Jett pushed his mower around my grandma's front yard, and then we taught him to stomp on the bugs (ants) in the driveway.

Jett is so funny these days, and his vocabulary is expanding so much. He will say anything you ask him too for the most part, and he is starting to answer questions really well. For example, if you say "Who's that Jett?" he will tell you who is being pointed at, or if you say "How does a car go", he will say "vroom vroom".
He is kind of starting to be clingy to me again (which I personally love), but we will see how long that lasts. For now, I will take all of the snuggles and kisses I can get from my sweet little baby boy because I know there will come a day when he won't want me to kiss or love on him constantly, especially in public. That's about all for now. I am exhausted and I need to get rested up because only TWO more days until Bon Jovi!!! We have only been waiting for like 7 months for the day to arrive.
Have a great week!

Drama King?

This week has been absolutely crazy for us. We are normally very boring, laid back, uneventful people who go for walks, play on the floor, etc., but this week has been a busy, yet fun one. On top of that, Jett has mastered the technique of pouting to get whatever he wants. Bobby and I have been trying to stick to our guns when it comes to disciplining, but when he does the pathetic pouty thing, it is SO hard to be strong. Tuesday night was the only night last week we didn't have somewhere to be or something to do, so Jett, Tiffany and I played in his room for quite a while after Jett's bath. This was the scene:
Cheeeeeeeese!

Look mommy, I can stand on my head!

You can't catch me Tiffany....just try it.

Tiffany took my car. Give it back! Give it back!

See what I mean about the pathetic little pouty face...it melts my heart, seriously. He isn't even crying in that picture, it's just that face that kills me! I always give in when he does this, and usually give him a cookie or something on top of that. He has me all figured out. Here is one last picture of a much happier Jett with his robe and slippers.

Wednesday Jett and I did some shopping for new spring and summer clothes. He has done a lot of growing lately. He has always been in the 10th or 15th percentile in everything, and he has always worn the smaller size on the tags (example: if clothes are 6-12 months, they were big at 6 months and fit at 12 months) Now, I am buying 18 month clothes and they fit! Maybe he is catching up. He is up to 24 lbs now. WooHoo! I also had to do some major shoe shopping because he has outgrown all of his 3's and he needed some new shoes for his pictures on Saturday, for church, and to play in. I think we got everything taken care of, so he should be set for a while in clothes and shoes. Here is a funny picture of Jett sans footwear on Saturday morning playing in a mud puddle at the end of our culdesac. Fun!! He was covered in mud by the end of it, but that is what Shout is for, right?

Thursday Jett and I got to meet our friends Emily and Caleb for a quick dinner and visit. I can't believe I didn't get a picture of the two boys together, but the weather was so nasty and rainy that I totally forgot. Although I read Emily's blog weekly, it was so good to see them and see how much Caleb has grown. Caleb was doing a great job trying to say Jett, but when I pointed to Caleb and asked Jett who that was, he sat there for a second and then replied "baby". Close enough.
Friday night my friend Kim was in town from Rogersville, MO. so Jett and I met up with her at Starbucks for coffee. We love Aunt Kimmie so much and were SO glad to see her!! Afterwards we went to my other friend Liz's house to hang out for a while and didn't get home until around 11:00. Jett was so tired that he fell right to sleep and slept until 8:30! He never does this. He still usually wakes up 2 or 3 times throughout the night. Saturday morning I went out to the car to unload some things, and I sat Jett in the driver's seat. Next thing I knew, he had grabbed my coffee cup and was trying to drink it. This should be the new face for Starbucks...

Saturday afternoon we met Amy and Abby at the mall and had their pictures made. They turned out super cute so I will try to get them on here next weekend.
Today Jett and I headed to Owasso after church to visit my mom and grandma. Jett enjoyed playing outside and picking the "flowers" (weeds).

He also enjoyed eating "cook's and nana's" (Nilla wafers and banana's).

Also new this week is Jett has learned to yell "GO!", when you say "Ready....Set...."
It is really cute. He has also been doing "ssssssss" for snake and will say "pish" for fish. He continues to crack us up with his words. That's all for now, I hope everyone has a great week!!! Only 9 days until Bon Jovi in OKC!!!!

Easter fun, week 2

Although Easter was last Sunday, Jett was just not ready to put away the eggs yet.....or atleast Tiffany wasn't. Bobby and I bagged up all of the Easter eggs into two trash sacks and sat them by the kitchen door. Apparently Tiffany could smell that there had been chocolate inside those eggs and decided to tear open the sacks and proceed to scatter and destroy plastic Easter eggs all over our formal dining room floor. Oh Goodie! There is nothing like scrambling around trying to pick up itty bitty pieces of saliva covered plastic before your 16 month old puts them in his mouth. Fun! Jett thought so. He was excited to see the Easter eggs once again, nevermind that most of them could not be salvaged.

Well, as I had suspected, the Easter bunny visit was basically the whole Santa episode part II. Jett was actually excited about seeing the bunny and even touching his fur, but as soon as I leaned over to sit him on his lap, this is what the scene looked like.....not a pretty thing.

I mentioned last week that my grandma bought Jett a really adorable Easter gift but I forgot to post a picture. Rather than bore you with a picture of the present by itself, I decided to have Jett pose next to it. Pictures are so much better with Jett in them!

Jett is getting SO active and loves to horse around and play rough. I just LOVE this because this is the exact reason we wanted a boy so bad. Bobby and I are both very active and love chasing him around, tickling him, etc. One of Jett's favorite things to do is jump around on the bed. I am sure the day will come (or not) when we will get on to him for this, but for now it is so fun to see him get excited and have so much fun. Here are some pictures from my little monkey the other night.

On Thursday night Jett and I met Abby and Amy at the park for a walk. Amy and I have so much fun with these two angel babies! We both look back now and wonder how we ever had fun without them in our lives. Everything we do now is focused on them.
Here are the kiddo's at the park.

This weekend was my friends' daughter's senior prom. Jett and I stopped by Saturday evening to see Shelby in her beautiful gown. Jett really enjoyed playing peek-boo with the netting of her dress, and he was fascinated by their kitty, Tucker. He has never seen a cat before, but I explained to him that it was a kitty and for the rest of the evening he followed Tucker around saying "kitty, kitty". Too cute! This is Jett and the kitty, kitty, and a random picture of Shelby and I. Of course, Shelby is looking glamourous and Jett and I had just woke up from our afternoon nap.

My favorite thing that Jett is doing these days has got to be singing the name game.
OK, so to be more accurate, we sing "Jett, Jett bo bet, banana fanna fo fet, me my mo met" and then Jett says "Jett, Jett". I can't believe that 2 years ago Sunday, March 30, we found out we were pregnant with Jett. That is a day I will never forget. I stopped on the way to work and bought a test and it was positive. I didn't belive the test (I bought the cheaper one and I was convinced that the cheap ones aren't accurate..ha!) so I left work, ran by Walgreens and bought the "better" test that came 2 to a package (just to be sure) and they both were positive as well. I immediately woke Bobby up to tell him and I was so nervous because although we weren't surprised, I didn't know what to do next. I made an appointment with the Dr. that afternoon to have a 4th test (positive again) and Bobby and I went to dinner to celebrate! We have been celebrating ever since because this beatiful baby has brought so much happiness to our lives and to the lives of many others. We love him SO much!!!

St. Patty's Day and Easter in the same week!!

I am happy to report that I am finally feeling back to my normal self, and nobody else in my family contracted the nasty stomach bug I had last week. Praise the Lord!
Usually those types of things spread from person to person and it is a vicious cycle.
Other than Jett falling and scraping his noggin, and me throwing my knee out of whack runninng this morning, all is well here! Since I didn't feel well last Monday (St. Patricks Day), I had to put Jett's Lucky and Charming shirt on him this weekend.
I was laughing to myself as I was taking his picture, because he looks much more like a little Irish boy with his red hair than he does a little Asian boy! My genes definately took over when it came to his coloring. Bobby and I think he is just a perfect blend of the both of us! Definately lucky to be loved so much, and absolutely charming. (Notice his new favorite toy.....the vacuum)

I ordered Jett a duck chair several weeks ago for Easter and couldn't wait to give it to him this morning. Bobby and I blew it up last night and had it ready for him when he woke up. As soon as he saw it, he kept saying "quack, quack, quack". Here is a shot I was able to get of him before church this morning. I love this picture!!

My aunt and uncle from Plano, TX were here this weekend and we were SO glad to see them. We spent lots of time in Owasso at Nenal's house, and Jett got to spend 3 days straight with Gramma (AKA "mo-mo"). My poor mom probably won't be able to walk for a week because he will not let "mo-mo" put him down. Bad for her back, but good for mine to have a break:) Gramma found him a PERFECT easter basket. It was a furry blue jet. She had it so full that stuff was pouring out of it, and she had to wrap it in fancy blue paper to keep it all together. Here are some pictures of Jett checking out all of his fun new Easter goodies. Notice that I hardly have any pictures of his sweet little face because he is far too busy to look at the camera.

After dinner Jett wanted to go outside so we bundled him up and took him out into the front yard. My grandma's neighbors were riding their 4 wheelers up and down the street and Jett was fascinated by them. He wouldn't even look at the camera because he was so mesmerized by the kids playing.

When we got home this evening Bobby wanted to do an Easter egg hunt. He had 2 bags full of eggs, so we tossed several of them in the yard and let Jett pick them up and put them in his basket. Once we got inside, Bobby dumped all of them in the floor and Jett had a hay day frolicking around in all of them!

That's about it for this busy week. My grandma got Jett the cutest thing, but I forgot to take a picture. I also forgot to post Jett's Easter Bunny picture (very similar to the Santa episode). I will try to post those next week. As for new words, Jett's new favorites are bike, airplane, and in the bathroom. They sound more like "back", "eh-pane", and "in da bat-oom". Too cute! Have a great week.

Long time, no Blog

Let me start this post by apologizing to all family, local friends, far away friends, and blog friends for the delayed post. I have been sick since Saturday night, and am still feeling a little under the weather. I must give a shout out to my hubby who has been great at entertaining and taking care of Jett while I have not been feeling well. Bobby put him to bed last night, and when I went in to check on him this morning, he was sleeping soundly...in his clothes. If I would have felt well enough, I would have located the camera and taken a picture. I was pretty cute.
Since I didn't get a shot of that, here are some cute and fun pictures of Jett from the weekend while I was still feeling healthy. These pictures just make me want to kiss all over his sweet little face!! (I forgot to make the pictures large, so you will have to click on them to see them better, sorry).

Jett is still obsessed with the vacuum cleaner, so my mom ordered him one from the Pottery Barn Kids last week. Just FYI, it was under the boy toys. It is nickle rather than pink plastic. I had to be sure to tell Bobby about this so he wouldn't freak out about Jett having a girl toy :) Before his new toy arrived, he was throwing a fit at my grandma's the other night because he spotted her carpet cleaner in the garage. Needless to say, whatever Jett wants, Jett gets, so we had to push it out onto the driveway so that he could push it around.

Another thing Jett loves to do these days is jump, roll, and play on the pillows and blankets while I am making the bed or changing the sheets. Here is what it looks like around our house if you leave pillows lying around.

Ok, so the last one is of Jett sharing with Tiffany. I just thought it was too cute not to share. He is so much fun these days, and we are enjoying all of his new words. He will pretty much try to repeat anything you ask him too, although sometimes many of the words sound similar. One last funny thing in regards to his talking. Last night Bobby, Jett, and I ran to the store to pick up diapers and Pepto Bismol, and I started feeling really iffy in the car. I had Bobby pull over (you can only imagine what happened next). Oh yes, I was hanging out of the car, as I did not want to get sick in the car, and Jett, who was quietly sitting in the back seat, out of nowhere said "yeeeee-uck!". Classic moment for the baby book. I hope everyone enjoys the pictures and has a great rest of the week.
