Since I won't be here to post on Sunday, I wanted to post these adorable pictures of Jett and Abby today having a pool party. We went to Owasso to say good bye to Gramma and Nenal before our trip, and then we headed over to the Coatney's so Jett and Abby could play in the pool. I have to say, they have the CUTEST pool I have ever seen. It is a brown pool with a big, blow up monkey head with huge ears, and when you attach the hose to it, the nose turns into a sprinkler. There is also a blow up, yellow banana slide (which, by the way, Jett would have nothing to do with). We had so much fun watching those two bathing beauties. We are going to miss them SO much while we are gone.
I hope everyone has a great week, and I am sure I will have a lot of fun pictures to share when we return. Right about now, this is how we are all feeling around here. Packing is wearing us out!!

Christian Jett is 19 months!!
I cannot even believe that Jett is 19 months old now. It's hard to believe that it has been over 2 years since we found out we were pregnant. Every day he amazes us more and more, and he continues to surprise us with all of the things he says and does. At this age, his brain is like a sponge, soaking in everything that is going on around him. Bobby and I were laughing at him Sunday night because he does things that "make sense". For example, when Tiffany kisses him, we always tell him that she is giving him kisses. So when I ask him for a kiss, he tries to lick my face. The other night, Bobby, Jett, Tiffany I were lying on the floor and Jett was petting Tiffany. I said "Jett, can you pat daddy?" Jett gets up, walks over to Bobby, starts patting his head and says "oooohhhhh, good boy". Today, Bobby's dad was starting his mower by pulling that string thingy (I am sure there is a more technical name for it, but I wouldn't have the slightest idea what it is), and Jett went over to his play mower and started pretending he was pulling the string also. I could go on and on about the funny things he does, but it would take all night. We love him so much it hurts us! Here is my "Rock Star" the day he turned 19 months old.
This weekend was wonderful because we spent so much time together playing outside, going on walks, and going out to eat. Of course, any day is wonderful to me when I don't have to cook (and I say that like I do it so often). We went out to the Riverparks and walked along the pedestrian bridge because we thought Jett would enjoy watching the people, cars, dogs, and water. He was a little nervous about the water at first, but eventually got brave wasn't to happy with me because I wouldn't let him walk right up to the edge and bend over. I felt horrible because he wanted to "go see water" so bad, but it made me a nervous wreck.
We also went to my mom's this weekend and Jett had fun playing with Gramma and her puppies. He didn't know what to do about my mom's dog because he is extremely well behaved. Jett acted confused as to why Lucky wasn't jumping on him, licking him, or trying to take his cookies. He kept looking at us like "what in the world is wrong with this animal?" My mom finally gave Jett a dog biscuit that Lucky would eat from his hand, so then they were both happy.
Only 4 more days until we are off to the Big Apple. I am SO excited!!! Bobby and I were talking the other night and this was our conversation:
Amber: Do you know what I think would be really fun?
Bobby: What?
Amber: If we went to see Sex and the City IN Manhattan
Bobby: Babe, I don't want to see Sex and the City here, why would I want to see it there?
Lucky for him, I have already seen it, so I guess he is off the hook this time.
HA! I am sure we will have a full agenda. With that being said, I am going to be so busy the rest of the week packing, and then we will be gone for 9 days, so I apologize ahead of time for no new posts next week.
Here is one last picture of my sweet baby boy sleeping. I couldn't resist!

Pictures and Father's Day
This past week has been pretty busy. In a nutshell, we spent Friday night in Owasso and had dinner with my mom and grandma. My mom bought Jett a little blow up pool, so he had fun playing in (actually around) the pool, and filling his bucket with water and pouring it outside of the pool. Here is my little water boy.
After the pool, Jett got to take a bath in Nenal's sink. My grandma stuck her mouth down under the running water to get a drink just to see what Jett would do, and of course, he had to try it also. It was absolutely hilarious.
Saturday the photographer, my mom, and my best friend Amy came over to help me order Jett's pictures. She did a fabulous job and I can't wait to get them. I think she is amazing because she came to our home and let me show her around the house so that she could help me determine what I needed to order by seeing where I wanted to hang them. She also noticed that I like artistic shots, so she helped me decide which portraits to put together. Yipee!! Here is the link to his pictures. Click on children (it's a picture of Jett) and then on Jett. http://www.bennettimages.smugmug.com/
Sunday was Father's Day, and I feel horrible because I didn't get one shot of Bobby and Jett together. Bobby has been working his tail off in our yard building 6 concrete retaining walls all by himself. Yep, you heard me. He is such a handy man and loves doing stuff like this. He is amazing and the walls look great. All but 2 of them have stucco on them now and he even built me a planter on each corner for my large flower pots. Needless to say, that is what he spent the weekend doing. His goal is to finish before our NY trip in a few weeks. Jett and I went a did a little shopping and then headed home to take Bobby out for a nice Father's Day dinner. I figured after all of his hard work he at least deserved a nice meal!!
Enjoy and hopefully I can get some daddy and Jett pictures for next week!

Awe......a relaxing week at last (and fun weekend)
Well, not much to say about this past week at our house. For once, we had a normal, laid back, stress-free week for a change. As I mentioned last week, Jett's 18 month pictures were scheduled for Saturday morning. A friend of mine who is just getting her photography business started made arrangements to meet us at Woodward Park at 9:00am. Of course, Jett had to take a tumble on the steps outside Wed. night while helping me water the flowers, so he had a huge goose egg until about Friday morning. Friday afternoon, Bobby's mom and dad called to say that while they were playing with him out in their yard he fell and hit his head in the same spot. Ouch! I contemplated re-scheduling pictures again, but after thinking long and hard about it, I realized that Jett would not be Jett at this age without a bruise somewhere on his body so I decided to go ahead and have them made. I am so glad that I did because I think they are going to be AMAZING!! He was being such a ham and she shot him for at least an hour. She was so good with him and just followed him around and got random shots of him playing, being silly, and just acting like his happy self. He took right up with her too, which was fantastic. After his pictures we went home and picked up Bobby and headed off to Lake Bixoma where the bank has it's annual picnic (Boonefest). It is absolutely gorgeous out there and Jett was in heaven with all of the cows, puppies, ponds, tractors, pools, fish, etc.
Here are some pictures from the party:
The catfish in this pond are the biggest I have ever seen!
Being a ham on the catfish deck
Jett didn't know about sticking his own feet in the water
Lovin the hay ride with daddy!!! (Jett's favorite part. He loved the big tractor pulling us)
We had a blast and can't wait to go back next year. Yesterday we took my new vehicle to have the navigation system put back in, only to pick it up this afternoon and it doesn't work. Urgh! I guess we will be taking it back this week. Bobby is having navigation put in his Wednesday. That is going to be my father's day gift to him from Jett. I hope he remembers this next Mother's Day, or while we are in New York City in a few weeks......ha! Here's a picture of my two favorite boys.
Jett continues to keep us rolling these days. He is the funniest kid and always makes us laugh. He loves phones and he will put them right up to his ear and have a big, long conversation with himself. He also recognizes Ipod's, but he puts them up to his ear and talks as well. I guess they look like a phone to him. He is still in to counting and saying his A,B,C's (with our help of course). The funniest thing is listening to him repeat everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING we say. He is like a little parrot. My favorite thing right now has to be him saying "mommy hold you" when he wants me to pick him up, "mommy help" when he wants me to hold his hand and help him down the steps, and "rock a bye, rock a bye" at night before bed. The thing we probably hear the most these days though is "go see ......" Everything he sees, he says "go see truck, go see car, go see puppies, go see bug, go see daddy, go see airplane, go see the boat, go see Tiffy....you get the point. He wants to go see everything!!! What a cutie. That's all for now. Have a great week!!

Crazy busy times!
The last few weeks have been nothing but crazy busy for us. After all of our mishaps 2 weeks ago, we had to take last week to recover! I am glad to report that as of this moment, I have Jett's 18 month pictures scheduled for Saturday morning (please pray for no cuts, scrapes, bruises, or busted lips), I have a new vehicle (yipee!!! It's just like my other one, only newer), Bobby has a new vehicle (we have to be fair, right??), and after a storm on Sunday left us without power, it has been restored. Whew! I am exhausted just thinking about everything. After all of the madness, my girlfriends and I decided last Thursday to attend the premier showing of Sex and the City in Tulsa at 12:01a.m. Let me tell you, FUN, FUN, FUN! It pumped me up for our upcoming NYC trip for sure!!!
This weekend Bobby and I decided to take Jett to the park since he loves it so much. Jett definitely takes after us, and loves to run around and play outside. He is so much fun! We just love seeing him get excited about all of the toys, swings, slides, etc. Plus, it gets him good and worn out for bedtime (which he now hates by the way....more to follow). Here is our happy guy at the park!
As I said, Jett has officially decided that he hates bedtime. He has been the easiest baby to put down at night. I would simply feed him, read him a book, sing to him, lay him in his crib and turn the lights out, shut the door, and that is it. He would go right to sleep. Not anymore. As soon as you start walking down the hall to his room he clings to me as tightly as possible and says "no, no, no". The good thing about this is that now I get to rock him and I LOVE IT! Another thing he has decided that he loves is "geeps" (grapes). The other night I just gave him the entire bowl and let him go after them. He is so funny to watch. What a ham!!
Sorry for the 2 day late post!!
