This week has been pretty exciting for us because Jett has started really catching on to new tricks, such as throwing his arms in the air when we say "How big are you Jett? Are you SO big?", and grabbing my nose when I ask him "Where's mommy's nose?", and also patting me on the back when I say "Can you pat mommy?", and my favorite of all....opening his mouth really wide and diving straight towards my face when I say "Can you give mommy kisses?". I love it! He is so much fun. Also new this week is Jett standing on his own for about 4 or 5 seconds. This is pretty funny to me because he absolutely hates when you try to hold his hands and walk along the floor with him. He is so independent, and wants help from no one. He would rather crawl than have someone help him walk. Friday night Jett and I went to Owasso to have dinner with my mom and Nenal, and we found a bag of old stuffed animals that were mine when I was younger so we dumped them out in the floor and let Jett play with them and crawl around on them. His favorite was a gray fuzzy cat, which is pretty comical, as he will probably never know what a cat is because Tiffany doesn't let one get within 2 yards of us or our home.
Saturday was also a fun day for us. Jett spent a few hours with Nenal and my mom again while Bobby and I got our hair done, and then we went over to our friend Amy's house to see that sweet baby girl, Abby. She is just the sweetest baby girl in the world, but Jett really could care less. He would rather just sit on the couch and eat his puffs. He finally did pat her on the head, but then when his "pat, pat's" turned into "bang, bangs", we had to move him away from her. Yikes! Maybe it is good we have an 80 lb dog that can hold her own. Here are the pictures from Saturday.
Sunday we didn't do much. Jett and I went for our morning jog, took our afternoon nap, and then we all went to lunch. After lunch we came home and played for a while with one of Jett's favorite new toys, the plastic rings. He likes to pull all of them off, throw them around on the floor and chew on them, but his favorite toy is still daddy's remote. After we played for a while on the floor,we took our bicycles out to the river for a ride. This has become our favorite thing to do on the weekends, and we usually ride about 12 miles. We bought Jett one of those cart's that attach to the back of the bike and he loves it.....usually. This weekend we got about 4 miles down the river and it started raining so we had to pull the plastic shade down over him (which did not make him happy), and ride back in the rain. Poor guy, he has already had a really rough week due to his top teeth coming in. The bottom ones never bothered him, but these top ones have been a real nuisance. He has been so much fussier than we are used to, and he is constantly gnawing on anything within reach and drooling everywhere. Here are a few pictures from Sunday. Have a great week!
